Helderberg Golfing Association

Become a member of a unique and exciting golfing club. We have a proud golfing tradition since 1975, come and meet new golfers and play your golf game on a selection of the finest golf courses the Cape has to offer.

The Helderberg Golfing Association was initiated by a group of golfer's, with it's aim to promote the game of golf and support needy local charities. Now years later we still follow the tradition and play early on the first Sunday of every month at a different golf course around the Western Cape, including Spier, Hermanus, Westlake, Paarl, Atlantic Beach, Stellenbosch, Durbanville, Langebaan, Worcester, Devonvale, Mowbray and Somerset West to mention a few. Competitions vary and great prizes can be won by golfers, good and bad, closest to the pin and longest drive etc. We have annual club championships, bachelor weekends away, family days and an annual prize giving and dance.

We invite you to join us for a game, spend a Sunday morning enjoying a golf course you have not played before, for a nominal fee. If however, you are in no way a golfer, we ask for your support towards the charities that we have helped over the years since the formation of the Helderberg Golfing Association. Donations of prizes or specifically aimed donations are always accepted, our aim is to enjoy our enthusiasm for the game of golf whilst helping our local community.

The charities we have supported over the past few years have been the South African Guide Dogs Association and the Helderberg Rape Crisis Centre. The amounts which have been donated, while in the tens of thousands are no where near enough funds needed by these charities to make a difference in the life of some of their recipients.
